What is a dental implant?
Dental implants are artificial roots anchored to your jawbone. When properly implemented they work in unison with a dental crown to look, feel, and function like your natural teeth.
Dental implants offer several benefits:
||Excellent Performance Dental implants stay fixed in your mouth, reducing wear on other teeth. They also make speaking and eating easier.
||Very Durable With proper care, a dental implant may last a lifetime. Because they are colored to match your teeth and secured to your jaw they blend in naturally.
||Convenience Dental implants don't require soaking or cleaning. Just brush and floss as you would with your natural teeth.
How can I tell if I'm a good candidate for dental implants?
You are likely a good candidate for dental implants if you have healthy gums, and have sufficient bone to support the implant. We are happy to share our knowledge of cosmetic dentistry with you. Contact us to discuss your options.
How are dental implants installed?
Installing a dental implant is a two- or three-step process.
||To start, we install the dental implant into your jawbone.
||Once your jawbone has fused with the implant (which can take up to several months), we attach a small post to the implant.
||Finally, we fix the replacement dental crown onto the post.
